It was introduced at the Blade Show 2007.

the yard keeper CG is a great little piece of sr77 that you can carry with you anywhere. and is much stronger than a folder.

Agreed ReconSeed; I still regret not buying 2 or 3 of them when Renee offered the Tan ones back during that Dog Bowl. I got one, but it almost begs for a brother to play with!

Is it true that the LE uses thicker stock for the Blade?

The YKLE is quite a stout little knife - someone referred to it as a "tank"!

I still have a couple in the cardboard sleeves they came in!

Nice tribute piece but fairly impractical IMO. It's too thick to be a slicer and too short to be a chopper. I keep mine in a display case next to my Challenge Coin.

I need one of those display cases.. Where can you find those?

I had HD put a nice edge on it and it can take a finger off with a push cut!

I picked up four of them at Blade 2007. My girls each got one, and my neighbor's son who is going into the Marines in June got one. It's a tank. I actually prefer the YKCG, which I stripped and polished to look like the LE. They are tough little knives.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If someone could...

1.) Post pic of YK CG/LE with Howling Rat gen.2 (maybe also Howling Rat gen.1)
2.) What is actual size of choil and cutting edge length of in YK, Howler gen 2 , Howler gen 1

... i would really appreciate.

Thanks,
Michael

I just got the tan YK (thanks Recon!) and to my eye it's a little thicker than my gen 2 Howling Rat.

The balance point feels different too, a little more blade heavy...

I'm psyched with it, that Tan is sweet looking! Great size for carry!

I'm not sure about the YK LE but the YK CG looks a very useful knife. I even offered to swap a fellow member my DM CG for his YK CG if he didn't get a buyer for it because as great as the DM's are they seem a little overkill for my needs !The YK CG's seem like a pretty good compromise !!!!

I've got plenty of other knives to beat the hell out of. I don't need to beat the hell out of my tribute piece.
