I have to thank Vic (Horn Dog) for his great work. Vic Thanks!
I need to go and buy the BRKT paddle strop to keep them that way after use and to re-sharpen my Bravo-1

I'm glad you're pleased with them, Andy. That HCLE is like a scalpel.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

What is touughest SY blade to convex on a belt sander ? It looks to me like some could be very tough . Vic/ Tolly/ Jeff ? Or- maybe is a dumb question ? Just looking at different size/ shape blades looks like could be very difficult. Great work

The problem with coated thick saber ground blades is that the belt makes some contact with the coating up on the blade. This can't be helped if you're trying to get a more acute edge angle.

I just did my first edges with the mouse pad and finished with a strop. I probably shoud have used an Apex Pro. I am not up to doing belt sander yet as some of the pros on here- but maybe down the road. At any rate-I took the knives out to do some " mild" chopping and I dulled them pretty darn quick . I am thinking I know what I did wrong- so back at it again . Hey- at least I didn't mess them up on a sander . That is why I don't have one yet-I should probably just send them to one of the Sharp Dawgs- but I am learning on some beaters as I don't want to mess up my good steel . Thanks
