I would like to see a CG, but I am super excited about this blade. The only downside is, I can only afford one.

So much to buy, and so little cash:
Scrap yard Muk
HG55
Cupid gganza is-a-coming
SW M9

Enjoy every sandwich.

Well I woke up this morning to learn that the M9 is indeed differentially tempered, as I suspected it would be. I would also suspect that later on, after this offering, a CG M9 will be offered. It's good to see the Swamp back in "SR101" mode.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Hmmmm. I might have to buy this one. I don't own any SR101, only an HCLE from the Swamp. Any thoughts on this vs a DFLE? I don't own either and may limit myself to one large chopper. (although I have not seemed to have the willpower to limit myself for any other size)

Since the DFLE is longer, it has just a little more blade speed at the sweet spot. It also has the more comfortable shock absorbing Res C handle. So I am guessing that one could get more work done in a day with the DFLE. BUT, the MPLE has superior edge holding and the more durable G-10 handle. And as a bonus for those of us with HCLEs, they match. What a great woods combo! I'm having Rainwalker make be a leather sheath to hold both knives. I have no doubt at all that the M9LE will be a fine chopper. My Ratweiler and Chopweiler sure are.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Excellent news! I would have found it very strange to find out otherwise. Just an important detail to forget
