Went for about a 4 mile hike, which for me nowadays is plenty. My youngest daughter and her friend came along. They said they were bored.

As we were locking up the jeep, some community service "volunteers" from the local jail hooted and hollered at the young girls. Not to worry, in addition to the BLDE, Rat trap, and SAK OHT, I had my bulldog. So do ya feel lucky today? Well do ya, PUNK!

Not a lot of color this time of year. In a few weeks, things will start turning green. I did see a few of these yellow flowers along the trail.

I threw the Bird Dog and stuck this juniper tree....thunk. The girls were impressed.

We went way on down where there used to be an old CCC camp in the previous great depression. I think this was a swimming pool.

Linda wanted to climb up the tower on the channel marker. Her friend was not quite as bold. I told her she could, but she would have to go all the way to the top. She got scared half way up, but I kept encouraging her to overcome her fear.

She made it!

We walked on and girls climbed some trees.

Not a lot of knife action today. But at least we all got some excercise outdoors today. I let Linda drive the jeep home. That was scary enough for me! She did ok. Not a bad Sunday afternoon, and it was cheap! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yet another enjoyable picture journey with Horn Dog.

Glad to see you out and about and able to spend some time with your youngsters.

Great pics. Looks like great fun. I can't wait to do stuff like that with my daughter - If she ends up liking that sort of stuff. You're lucky to have a daughter that likes it too.

Those big ole trees are just awesome.

I was a little surprised the girls wanted to go along with me on my walk, but they had lots of energy and seemed to be having a fun time of it.
