****rant call me naive but....i have no reason to not believe the yard crew & personally dont care..
i bought one while they were available
i didnt wait until the last minute or last call, or final notice ,or whatever you want to call it
all this talk about taking knives off the market before a "notice" was made or marketing, or supply......meh whatever "it is what it is"
the muk was up for quite sometime as compared to past limited releases, buy it while its available or dont....dont complain because you waited too long
****end rant

If I have a concern, it's that knives which are supposed to remain in inventory for 4-6 weeks won't make it because somebody will place a large order and wipe them out. But isn't wiping them out precisely what the new business plan was designed to prevent? I mean, if knives are built to order, what difference should it make how many knives are ordered? Scrap Yard should be able to build as many knives as they need, right? Or are we still going to have to deal with fixed inventories and be concerned that knives may suddenly disappear without warning before their expected 4-6 week life span elapses?
Somebody talk me down here . . . I am not talking you down.... You make to much sense to me to try. I did not think a limited run ment a limited amount of knives available... The new plan seems contarty to this idea....Now if they got a limited amount of materials designated for that run of a particular knife....and they would diverge from the New Business model plan...I would think an anouncement at the begining of the offering should have been made. It could have been anounced that we have a limited supply of material, so first come first serve. We will fill all orders up until a certain date, or the materials for this knife are gone... Some kind of heads up. I know I never read anything about limited availability in the sense of operateing any differently then the New plan such as we saw with the SOD. I just hope for future releases we know for sure the rules of "engagement", I am with ya man!

I actually dislike the phrase "it is what it is" usually when I hear it at work it means "i don't care enough to try and change it"
although that might be applicable in this case.

it is what it is.................I love that quote too. we are just talking about knives....which most of us do not need but...buy as a hobby and a take pleasure in the whole yard crew & camaraderie. not to mention the friendships made via this site...the whole controversial/speculation posts just are old news "it is what it is"

The Scrap Muk Le's had a limited number available and we planned on making an annoucement as to when the knife was going to come down, but we were hit with 1 VERY large order that made them become sold out! I apologize, but we also were not expecting that large of an order, it took us all by surprise! Sorry about the surprise but I figured I could sell the remained of The Yards stock on E-Bay and retire early. Peace.
