Well I don't think that I take enough pics of the Hook!So I grabed the camera and headed out back.Feel free to ad pics to this post.I know that looking at our favorite knives pics is always a pleasure.
 • For some reason the Yard Hook gets left behind in favor of the ASH-1 or CT,but it has seen its share of use as you can se from the rubbed off coating on the edge

MC, I always wondered what the hook was there for.

Seeing as you are an "owner" of such a knife, what is your
take on the purpose for the hook?

Cheers

Isn't it a blade catch?

I love my Hooker!

The .285 thick SR-77 is just plain sick.

Sometimes I carry the CGDM and the Hook on Sundays when it's grass cuttin season. They tame trees and fast growing weeds with authority. The pair of .285's are just plain nasty. At 280 pounds I can still use them as steps up into trees on the yard.

They are true beasts. The Hook and Guard are truly underrated blades by most folks.

But those who have them.... well kinda enjoy them!

Peace.

Actually I'm gonna grind the hook down and make the spine flat. It's not that I don't like the Hook it's just I think the knife would look more streamlined that way.As for what it's function I have no idea!I've thought about that though and I've even tried to do different things witht the hook and it just doesn't serve much purpose, though they say it's a blade catch for knife fighting.

yes it is a blade catch (fighter) but with a little modification, it can open your bottles!
