Welcome! Get yourself the SOD, from what I hear it is pretty much the best all-a-rounder there is!
I think I'll start a quest for a SOD!Must have one!

Yes welcome....Horn Dog is a very knowledgeable guy on here and he has rated the Ka Bar Bowie quite high...your pick should stand you in good stead...but a good Bussekin knife would be the next rung on the ladder....

Welcome Mason! I don't know about everyone else but I can say I've been there.
I started with a SOG Seal Pup and though I like it, it just doesn't compare to Bussekin. I got lucky I found the Yard in time to score both the SOD and ScrapMuk. Like everyone else said there should be another offering around the corner!

BTW, I believe it is not too late to order an M9LE from the Swamp. It may not be Res-C but a 9" chopper edge is hard to beat. Check it out.

Hey man! Welcome to the YARD! lots of good people here!

I noticed you have a Kabar heavy bowie. that is a FINE chopper/woods blade! You might want to check out the SOD, its kinda of a TANK, built for heavy punishment (batoning, prying, chopping etc)

welcome!

Thanks everyone!

Yeah that SOD was exactly what I was looking for. I really like the idea of these knives being a super tough tool that can take everything you throw at it. Knives that live up to the hype and a company that takes their time and pride into creating tools that work and still won't burn a hole in your pocket. I will definatly bring a camera out their and take pics of the kabar in action, I just thought it might be a better picture of the SOD on the rocky coast but I suppose live and learn. Definatly take that old HR with me. Used that enough so I have full confidence in that. Its not too pretty anymore but I'll take a few pics of that. Still got a few weeks to go, so if lady luck finds me I might get a SOD. You'll know if I do. I'll be the over excited knife nut thats peed himself.
