I really like the DMCG and have used it for alot of things.Since they released the SOD which was a smaller version of the DF,I thought it would be cool if they released something like a FDM( father of dumpster mutt). If you look at the knife page on the Scrapyard site the CGDM looks like a big knife but its actually a smaller knife,Imagine that same design but with the dimensions of the SOD or a Camp Tramp.Anyone find this idea appealing?

The DM is my favorite, but I don't know about a larger version. It'd be nearly identical to the SOD/CT. Not that I wouldn't pick one up, but I rather see new models. I would like to see the DM in different colors like the very rare white, clay red, moss green, and tank gray (I think those were the 4 colors) from Blade.

Well I guess it could have a thinner edge profile due to its size which would give it better chopping ability,I guess it would be a better camp knife than the original. Also the grip would be more hand filling. When I hold my CGDM I think it feels pretty good in the hand but it would be better if it were a little thicker, more hand filling. You guys know it would sell like hotcakes, but thats a given around here! I like the way the spine is completely flat on knives like the Camp Tramp and the way the SOD's tip has less belly for better penetration.

I hope to pick p a DM sometime in the near future. t seems like it would be a good everyday knife.

I live in a city, go to school, and fix computers so a DM wouldn't work. Then again, there's people out there like Andy who could fit a DF in his pocket.

MC, I love my CGDM more than I should... but the S.o.D. IS the Big Mutt!
I'm still holding my heart out for a necker from The Yard.

Three inch blade with a four inch finger grooved skelly handle. In SR-77!!

I don't ask for too much do I?

Peace.

it's only a matter of time before Dan makes the Super Mutt. Full Flat grind with mudder handles. in tan.

I always thought the Dumpster Mutt looked a lot like the Camp Tramp. And since the SOD is the SY version of the CT, I guess it is the BIG DM.
