Heavy kit (remote deciduous area)

DFCG and SS4

Medium kit (general)

Basic 7 (or S6) and SS4

Light kit (normal dayhike)

S6 and CRKT Dogfish

Ultralight kit (dayhike in light/easy country)

SS4 and Dogfish

All of the above would travel with a Gerber multitool and a SAK.

Combat Grade Dog Father and Combat Grade Dog Mutt. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

DF on right hip,Mutt sideways on left hip.

Still need a SR-77 Necker to complete my hiking apparel. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

I have carried that combo on more than twenty trips into the jungle.

Greta knives that do it all! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Peace.

Well I just got in my NMSFNO in sage and black micarta and this with my similar sage RMD would also be my pairing in a "sand" environment.

First impressions of the NMSFNO are that it is excellent...slightly lighter than the FSH but still has the weight to be an excellent "easily carried chopper"...which is just what I want! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Good looking Busse, Peter. I have one on order just like it, but no shipping notice yet.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yes I like it and I think you will too! I also "feel" for you on the time aspect...we both put the orders in on the same day...especially when the store got them in and posted "just after" we ordered direct...still...patience is a great quality IMO and I know it must be frustrating...but I am sure it will be worth the wait! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

P.S. They are also coming out with a good edge on them...not your level mind...but pretty good none the less... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That is a very nice lookin set, SF!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I figured you'd like the NMSFNO, it is a well rounded knife for a variety of cutting chores, and the RMD really does complete that set very well!

I should have something ready to head your way in the next few days, BTW. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think your really going to like it too, Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I hope it arrives soon. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

No problem, glad I can help. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

BTW, is that the Firesteel you were talking about in one of those pics you posted recently?

Looks very similar to the LMF Army army version except with out the handle... Maybe around 3/8ths in diameter, or roughly 10mm?

Skinny ASH1 in tan (same as HD's but sadly never had the chance to find someone to convex it yet!)
The SS4 still eludes me (rarer than Hen's teeth I reckon ; ) )
Spyderco Mule in either 52100,M4 or S90v (own all 3)
Folder would be either Military S90V Spydie or Benchmade 710 D2
Dutch Army Knife (made by Victorinox so it's well made, bigger than most Swiss Army versions + the blade locks open via a liner lock system)
Still want that SS4 tho!!

Cheers, JerseyBob

Hmmm. I love these questions.

First Choice is NMSFNO and Bravo 1

Second Choice is S6 and Muk

Third Choice is SOD and SS4

Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store, not a Government Agency. JYD.45
