Well been thinking about some new ink for awhile. I pulled the basic design together and the artist did the rest. It's on the left arm and took about 3.5 hours. ![[Linked Image from i5.photobucket.com]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/mgw906/IMG_0277.jpg)

Do the symbols/characters (i forget the correct term for them) mean something? I like it, it has a biomechanical feel to it, which I think is the coolest type of tattoos. If I get one, it's gotta be something crazy like these. ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/biomechanical.jpg)

The circle in the tattoo contains the entire Elder Futhark which is the oldest form of the runic alphabet.

Awesome. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> My family is from Heavener, OK. There is the Heavener Runestone very close by, yet still a mystery.

bors - The more I look at the tattoo the better it looks. The lines are very crisp and clean, and the contrast/shading is nice.
el clintor - Thanks for the link, there was some amazing work in there.
I've always wanted a tattoo, but I told myself that if I get one, I'm going all out, not a small fairy on the low of my back (hahah). I always liked the sleeve ones that run from the thigh/knee down to the ankle.
One of my friend is like a walking canvas, he's always getting new and random tattoos wherever there is room.

Bors, that is sweet. I love tats that mix traditional and modern themes. One day I am getting a Celtic cross emcompased by the old tri-dogs of war.
Hey Snotpig, that is an area that the wife and I were going to go to and camp over at Lake Wister. But since she is sick I might have to make the 3 hr trip by myself and do some exploring.
