Hi all,
I’ve been out and about in the bush with my new Muk, and it’s a beauty.
It came yesterday with the mail contractor, his first words were. “not another bloody knife”

I would like to thank the staff from Scrap Yard, especially Renee for helping me out when I was having trouble working out the ordering system.
Also the great members who offered to buy one for me if I wasn’t able to get one through the system.

To take it out for a walk in the bush seemed the best way to acquaint myself with the new knife, it is a knife that is begging to be used, so I’m going to use it for sure.

My little mate came with me, it would be impossible to get away without her anyway. I had a IWB sheath that seemed to fit it OK, so that will have to do until something better comes along.

We are out in my old horse paddock that I’ve leased for years, it’s 130 acres of bush and rough grass that works well for wintering horses.

First Bonnie spotted a mother Possum with a baby on her back, she also spotted us and hi-tailed it up a tree as far as she could get. Making a picture very difficult to get. These are apparently far different than an American Possum, they are a marsupial.

A pretty poor shot of it.

A better picture from a wildlife site.

Anyway here’s some pics of the new Muk in its new Aussie environment.

A couple with my mate posing as well.

Now down to the skinning trials.

Dear God man you didn't have to kill your Dog to prop up The Muk for cripes sake!

That poor old friend... at least it was for a good knife!

That Muk is a star isn't it? SHARP as all get out, wide blade for versatility, and the perfect length for all day light carry and dispatching a multitude of purposes!

Congrats on that score in the Outback!

Peace.

Looks like a great time, especially with a friend like that. Great pics too and thanks for sharing the experience.

The Muk is a great knife. Kind of reminds me of a smaller version of those
old hickory skinning knives.
Good on you Trumby.
