I voted for pics because I am a visual type of guy. But, I am gad t get an announcement too because that has some suspense too. I guess it all goes back to the deal of getting hooked up on a blind date--either it can turn out good, bad, fun, or sad~

I voted show me, but it really doesn't matter...I think it's more important to get something out within a couple weeks of making the announcement. Maybe tell, wait a couple weeks then show, wait a week or 2 more then sell. I'm new here so I'm just trying to get used to the whole process. It is very different than any other knife buying experience I have had. Can't wait for it though...whatever it may be.

Look at all the fun we have had trying to guess what the knife looks like. .... sorry Vic. True. And teasing us about what's coming is, after all, part of Jerry's and Dan's game. One of the things this poll may reveal is how many of us like to be teased and how many of us don't. Guess what I think. Jerry likes to with-hold pics of new releases till after they have been shown and released at Knob Creek and Blade Shows. Those two shows are HUGE to Jerry. This time of year on the forums is more about teasing than showing..... and Jerry and Dan like teasing anyway. No doubt, Jerry and Dan already have some knife designs made up, but don't hold your breath till pics leak back from the shows. .

Talk about "Damned if you do, damned if you don't"...
I don't want to start an argument, but the done of the thread seems to invite one. People complain when there's no information, but then there are also complaints (possibly from different people) if the disclosure is before making a prototype. I guess they could post a sketch, but I'd rather have the info as it becomes available rather than dead silence. I voted, "Yes. Don't show me. Tell me!", but I think is chould have been phrased, "Yes. Tell me as soon as you decide, show me as soon as you can!"

The fact that this thread even exists proves that the teasing is working. You guys are all worked up over the new release and have not even seen pictures of it or any specs. Everyone is clamoring for more information ready to pounce the minute it hits the market. This is a great marketing strategy these guys are good at what they do, selling knives. Relax, all will be clear in two weeks, and you can order then!

The fact that this thread even exists proves that the teasing is working. The only thing you can say for certain is that it's working for those who are willing to stick around and wait. The question is, how well is it working for those who aren't? And how much potential revenue is lost as a result? Busse stuff is a cult.. I'd guess very little revenue is lost as most of us are around <somewhere> to see announcements and pounce on the knives... I'd still like to see less teasing and more quality intel' coming out though. If Jerry likes to tease, good for him and the INFI fanatics, (rolls eyes) lets hope that teasing becomes one of those things that doesn't relate to blade performance so 'Dan the Hack' ignores it!!

After what is going on with the M9 - potential release date came and went, the "zilla" and now here... I can appreciate where anticipation makes the heart grow fonder however there's a point where one loses interest and moves on. Simply develop a timeline that's REALISTIC and deliver. That's all I need.
edit: maybe a better poll would of been "what is everyone's translation of soon?" this would give the proprietors something to work with in the future...
I still keep coming because: "once you get started in a good drug collection(in this case knives), it's hard to stop" - H S Thompson I believe...
