Yes, after resisting the cult for over two years, it occured to me that while not a huge Busse Collector, I check out every new offering, and if I like it a lot, and can afford it, I get it. I have had some serious differences with some of the Busse forum members in the past for what I perceived as elitism, but for the most part, the Hogs seem like pretty good folks to me, and a few have helped me out on occasion. I think that sometimes I just took things much too seriously. It's about fun and enjoying a knife brand that many think is the best. I can't honestly think of any brand of fixed blade that is superior to Busse, and there are some fine ones out there. So the Horn Dog goes over to the the Dark Side, but I'm still a Junk Yard Dog! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> 80%(?) of communication is "non verbal". Seems it would be easy to to express ones self with text, I mean writers do it all the time, and we all read, no??? Looking forward to some meet and greet, grip and grin. I'm not all that "terrorbl" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I had a ball last year and didnt know a soul but had participated a little on the Busse forum. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> One of the guys PMed me and said,Hey man why dont you come to Fogo's on Thursday night? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> He said You will have a blast and I did. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> The funny part is,we have about a 2.5 hr drive to Atlanta and in between home and Fogo's I had to bring my wife up to speed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> You should have seen her face when I told her that at this dinner I wouldnt be Keith but chickenplucker!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> Priceless. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> This year should be a blast and I hope to meet everyone. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Fogo's is a Brazilian steakhouse in Buckhead. The Busse group and a ton of the forumites meet there for dinner on Thursday night. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Its a cool but very pricy place. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> About $50.00 per person with no alcohol. We had a ball and met a lot of people. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I sat close to Ban and you should have seen the toys he kept pulling out of his bag. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> A lot of people bring knives for show and tell and for eating. One guy cut his steak up with a Battle Mistress. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> Google Fogos to learn more. Last year Jerry had a suitcase full of Culties there for sale. That is where most of them are sold BTW. You pull out a Cultie and you dont know what handle you are getting,I got camel bone and there were also several mastodon tooth ones mixed in. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> HE also gave a way a couple of Custom Shop ASH1s. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

They will post a thread in the Busse forum asking anyone planning to come to just post and let them know. Last year it was 4to5 weeks before Blade.
