good for you bro.
my problem is i cant draw.its almost like i would have to "free style" the knife which could get expensive,at least compared to my budget, which right now is zero.
one HUGE thing you have going for you PINK is that you have spent time with a talented knife maker at least and may have his help at best.either way thats huge.
take advantage of it.the nearest maker to me is a couple hours away and our knife tastes are different.he's more LOVELESS and i'm more BUSSE

Ban's a very talented knife maker and has been my biggest influence/mentor not just in knife making, but knives in general. I wouldn't even have attempted to make knives if it wasn't for him. He does some exceptional work in my opinion, and it's a shame he doesn't have more time to grind. I'm really grateful to have met him and become good friends.
On another note, do you guys like black or green canvas micarta better? I will be ordering black linen micarta as well and want to get the green canvas to add some color, but it cost 30%-40% more then the black stuff.

You're work is pretty exceptional, as well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
I'm a fan of canvas micarta more so than linen and black more than green. But they're all pretty nice. Green, black, tan would all make excellent handles.

Alright black linen and green canvas micarta it is then. I'll experiment with different colors and natural materials later when I make more knives.

*Small update* Yesterday I had a couple hours to grind so I started working on my general utility knife. The plunge line and convex grind came out good and I had a real hard time with the tip but it worked out in the end. This is my best job I've done so far and I can see the improvement from my last couple grinds. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot. Here's the old and current picture. I have to share the camera so this is the best quality picture I could get out of my webcam. ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/my%20knives/IMG_2785.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/Picture66.jpg)
