I am not going to pay to advertise for someone else. I might use a free patch, sticker etc, but I'm not going to buy one.

Hmmm...lemme guess, you also don't have a SY shirt or hat...& prefer sterile knives?

Actually, I don't have a SY hat or shirt. Like I said I would wear one if it was free. Sterile knives/logoed knives, who cares as long as they are good right Mr. Wayne .

I'd definitely like a lanyard or two. I'm not that into the shirt or hats but depending on what they look like I could convince myself that I need them .

Assuming a good quality JYD-logo bead, I'd go for a few Scrap Yard lanyards. I just ordered some beautiful AES Damascus lanyard beads for $25/ea (+$10 S&H on my order of 6), so I'm not above spending good money on trinkets. I bought a couple of Ariel's knives that came with lanyards a while back. In my opinion, while no more functional than a simple paracord string, a distinctive lanyard adds quite a bit to the aesthetics of a good knife.

On a related note, has anyone "Up Armored" any of their knives? I keep promising myself that I'm going to send off my Competition Grades for a paint job (at least the Jack Hammers), but haven't gotten around to it.

Damascus is beautiful no matter what it is shaped into, but those beads are something else. Nice score!
