I still think the busse 154 cm is left over stock from camillus with the busse heat treat. do most dogs agree? if it is, do you think they also bought the old becker / cold steel carbon steel?

I thought Busse announced that they did in fact buy "boxes and boxes" of the 154cm from camillus during the auction, I think Jerry publicly announced that in BF. No idea about the carbon steel knives.

I believe it was posted that Jerry DID buy a lot of Camillus steel, but final disposition of it was never really revealed. He may have kept it, or could have sold it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Don't take my word for it because I vaguely remember it. I'm trying to find out where I read it from. I still can't find the thread I was looking for but I think I read it sometime during the release of the Hairy Carry LE. You can see people talking about the camillus steel buyout here but I still can find the original thread: http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=006091;p=1

If I only knew what I know now, I would have a lot of cool toys.

i live about 15-20 min from the old camillus factory.pissed me off when they went under.its a shame as far as american cutlery history is concerned.they where the oldest american cutlery factory in america.
oh well,at least its good to see something as spectacular like the MPLE,BDLE & HC come out of the stock.i'm sure busse got more out of the stainless than camillus would have ever gotten.

BLD522, Mike stewart has released several knives in 50100B (0170-6C) (some appear to be made from old CS recon-scout and trailmaster blanks). The 9" bowies are up for sale now. I think he has had others. I seem to remember he said in a thread that he and Jerry split abunch of it. There is no other source for 50100B at this time. Ron athay
