Please, please, please be made of INFI. I became hooked right after the SS4 came out and wasn't able to get one of those. I have been waiting patiently ever since then.
Hang in there, MAJORSDAD. You may be in for a pleasant, albeit expensive by Scrap Yard standards, surprise. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Infi would be exceedingly difficult to resist.

Would they really make the LE and CG versions using two different steels? Have they ever done that before? That would be cool.

A lot of the things I have read on steels say that 154CM is good if you can get old stock...otherwise most have switched to ATS-34 because of the imperfections found in newer 154CM due to changes in the manufacturing process.

I like a lot of steels and find that there are a lot of opinions on them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I don't have any SR-77 blades and that is what makes the SY knives unique - so I kind of hope for that but it is a nice knife no matter the steel.

Just curious...Why 154CM as the other steel? Why not ATS-34 or S30V or VG-10, etc.? This is just a question for curiosities sake.

Thanks.

That's a good reason. And, it most likely is 'older' stock. Thanks.

Man I am liking this blade. I might have to go for a CG, LE, and a second LE user. [censored] knives are more addicting than guns!
