Hey guys hows it going, Brendan from PA here! I have been waiting for ages to get my hands on a Busse family knife and I am having some trouble finding one. I am super keen on picking up a Scrapper 6 LE, are they still available? Does anyone have one, and can anyone provide some feedback? Does anyone know how in gods name I go about getting a LE Scrapper 6? If anyone could throw me a bone I would greatly appreciate it. I am an avid outdoorsman and this knife would be used for what it was made for, and it WOULD NOT sit in some bloody drawer rusting away....so please help! Thanks everyone
-Brendan

First and foremost Welcome to the Yard snwbrdr202. And just to let you know there is a strict no buying or selling rule here on this fourm. But to find a Scrapyard: one can join the Yahoo Busse Kin group, and post there, Evil-bay is an option and the Bladefourms Exchange is another good spot proably one of the better options. THe S6LE is a great choice but I love mine in CG.

Hey there, welcome to the Yard! I love the couple SY knives I have now, and look forward to many more. Just a word of advice, start saving those pennies now!

S6LEs are a fairly rare knife -- it'll probably take a while to find one for sale, and if you do it's likely to have a hefty secondary market markup (S6s typically sell for at least twice their release price). In my opinion, you'd be better off to focus on getting the next release or something that isn't as old -- the S5 will be released soon and is generating a lot of excitement, and Son of DogFathers (the SOD) are still commonly available in the secondary market -- the Busse Booth even had SOD LEs for sale last week at Knob Creek.

You've summed up my concerns very well Jim - I would love to get my hands on a couple of SY knives, but secondary market prices are usually more than I'm willing to pay. Good to know there were some SODs at Knob, hope some show up at BLADE too.
After hearing how quickly a lot of stock was snatched up at Knob, I'm thinking I should be waiting in line when the doors open at BLADE to have half a chance of getting something good.

Welcome!
I would say don't sweat the S6 too much, lot's of great Dogs/Rats/Busses on bladeforum, ar15.com and knifeforum...they are like potato chips- can't have just one! Figure you'll end up with a few, so let the buying begin!
Plus, this Scrapper 5 will be SWEET and affordable-especially compared to secondary market prices.
