taking my tax return to the gun show this coming up weekend.i got a bad feeling i'm not going to be happy with the selection and prices.

this is the kind of "CHANGE" i wasnt looking forward to.

i live about 1 hour from binghamton,NY where that knuckle head shot up all those immigrants last week.

i fear that every time that happens and the media explosion that fallows we get closer and closer to all of our biggest fear regarding firearms in the US.

NY is trying to pass a law now where all assault rifles have to be brought in to the local STATE TROOPER barracks and be registered like is the rule with pistols.if a assault rifle is found and is unregistered it will be confiscated and the owner arrested.

when the "assault weapons ban" was lifted NY kept their own ban in place so collapsible stocks and high-cap mags are still a no-no here.

Just went out plinking today with my buddy's .44 mag Super Blackhawk. It is actually a really nice piece to shoot. Ergonomics feel nice and it is easy to handle the recoil even shooting with one hand.

PBL, or anyone for that matter,
Qhat do you think of a Polish M44 that is not import marked for the US? The rifle looks almost unissued, has been fired, brought back to the US by a US serviceman back in the 1980's, has the German nitro proof mark with 7.62 Russ. stamped on the receiver, deep bluing, and lighter colored wood stock? He is asking 220.00 for it.

The only ammo that is out of stock everywhere near me is 7.62x39. Normally that wouldn't bother me much, but since I bought my WASR it's irritating.

Oh, I've got about 200 rounds that I bought here and there in the last few months, but like everything else, now that I can't I want to buy more.

I really don't shoot much at all anymore, so it isn't a make or break situation for me...just a PITA.

Oh, but there's .223 coming out of their ears at the local gun shop. Hmmm, seems folks around here like their commie guns.

How much is a thousand rd of 5.56mm going for in North Idaho? We have more x39mm here in OK.

I don't know. Since I wasn't shopping for that I didn't check the prices. If I had to guess I'd say probably six or seven dollars per 20 rounds.
There were several different brands on the shelf.

I'm sure more x39 will find its way here sooner or later. Likely when the .223 dries up.

Funny how that works.
