I wonder what kind of guns they used? M14? M16? or the old and worthy bolt-action type rifles?

Whatever type they were, the SEALS were accurate!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

note the lack of a big victory speech by the powers that be. not sure if that's good or bad.

That's because if things turned out bad they could blame the Military instead of the Administration! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> Some Democrats were trying to give B.O. credit for a successful conclusion, though he doesn't deserve it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I wonder what kind of guns they used? M14? M16? or the old and worthy bolt-action type rifles? I would expect bolt action goodness. Call me old fashioned, but when accuracy counts you need to stick with the basics....

C/O - you're old-fashioned! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Although there are some very accurate semi-autos, I suspect that b/a's were used too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

note the lack of a big victory speech by the powers that be. not sure if that's good or bad. Thats because it really wasn't snipers......unless they stuck their head out of the top at the same time....take a look at the boat. Yes they were "sniped" in some form. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Dang good shots considering the ship and the boat were both going up and down on the waves--and it wasn't synced at that. I am sure they were there because they are the best.

i've heard a different perspective from soldiers, politicians, and economists. seems it's usually the soldiers who make the most sense explaining military issues and economists on economic issues. who'd have thought?
then the politicians make sense when....maybe someday we'll find out.

A guy that my father knows was in on some hairy missions when he was in. Anyway, dad's friend mentioned once that the only time you hear about NAVY SEAL's mission is when they do something like the Pirate/Terrorist shoot or when it goes bad and the mission fails.
Thank God that these men can shoot!
