good deal, make sure you give her a very thorough cleaning tonight before running it again, and don't overlubricate it. What kind of ammo have you shot so far? Sometimes 1911's are finnicky about certain types of hollow points, it might have to be tuned up a bit to run your defense load of choice. I haven't had a chance to ogle the specs on it yet, so I'm speculating.

I ran about 250 rounds through my XD before I considered it reliable, and that was in one range session. She gonna be a CCW?

Stopped at a gun shop today and saw (and hefted) my first Ruger LCR. MAN that thing is light! Didn't have the LCP in yet, but is selling he said for $330.00. Is that a good price for one? AND like an idiot I didn't check the price on the LCR. That is the going price for a LCP around here. I really like the LCR and would love to pull the trigger (pun intended) on one in .357 mag.

I'm toying with the idea of Bobbing my Taurus, Brownells has a jig that fits in place of the mainspring housing, and I have a local gunsmith that I was going to talk to about getting it done. It would definitely help with conceal carry.

ECF, how are you. I have seen the jig and it looks pretty easy to use. A local g-smith here does that bobbing. I would love to have a commander length lt wt frame with the bob job to carry in the summer.

It does look easy to use, I agree. I was half tempted to go at it with a dremel and belt sander, but though twice about that. Besides, I don't have the equipment to reblue the frame, and I was thinking a complete reblue was in order.

Just ran another 150 rounds through her the other day (mix of hollow points and ball ammo) shot everything flawlessly, although I had an issue with one of the mags that came with the gun, I have 4 new (KimPros) enroute, should be here tomorrow

Gotta have a reliable mag, otherwise the most custom polished and perfectly feeding pistol is worth exactly diddley. I got a couple of those cheap "GI"-style mags with my Taurus, they're complete junk. They came with the floorplates impact welded, and they were junk metal. The first one popped the floorplate completely off and ended up dumping a full mag all over the ground, and the second one the floorplate bent down at the toe after I dropped it during a speed reload. I'm waiting for it to blow out like the first did, the welds looks stressed. Did your pistol come with a cheapo mag?
Great to hear that she digested everything no problems!
