I saw in another thread that someone commented on having a old or traditional version of the DMCG.... This confused me because i thought there was ONLY ONE version of the DMCG... am i mistaken? which DMCG do i have if there are mulitple versions? is there a way to tell?

I have seen a Hybrid version of it.Like the original DM, the blade is Fat (easily over 0.25” thick) and Saber Ground for strength. But the Saber on this DM is slightly shallower than the original (i.e. a higher grind line), allowing for a longer grind and thus a better cutting angle at the edge. Also, the point narrows more gradually at the tip than the original, more like the DMDC, making it better suited for cutting and penetration..

You have the original DMCG (busse basic handles, saber grind, fat, black). Then there was the urban mutt, which has a sage blade and not sure if it was saber or full flat. Last year, there were some DMCG released at a couple shows, but they are not the same as the original (basically DMDC with red, white, tank, and green coating). Original vs last years ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/tiny%20going%20away%20meet/IMG_0161.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/tiny%20going%20away%20meet/IMG_0164.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/tiny%20going%20away%20meet/IMG_0167.jpg)

Thanks for the pics. I have wondered the same thing as RS.
