emf - you're right about tke Akitas' fur being long, and not best-suited for Florida's heat. That Cane Corso in Gambit's avatar is an impressive looking dog!

I have a friend with an Akita. Really nice dog, strong like nothing else and quite smart in some ways. Way too stubborn though. Chased my buddy's truck all the way to his store one day.. Just shy of 8 miles over a large hill. As he explained to me, his dog begrudgingly accepted a ride home that night.

Welcome to the yard, neomastiff. For the money, you can't beat these new Scrapper 5s that are coming in a week or less. Very good steel and a beautiful design.

Thanks Horn Dog. Is there a limit on the number that can be purchased by an individual? With the different combinations being offered I wanted to get a variety...especially if the opportunity to buy this specific knife is limited and not necessarily guaranteed to be offered again.

I've been lurking around here for couple of weeks researching custom knives. Good to be here with a great bunch of folks. I hope to snag my first fixed blade knife from SY. Thanks for all of the information and pics.
