Okay- This is just a fun question to add to everyone's posts and to see how everyone will answer it.
If you were going to be stranded on an island for a month and could only have a knife, a CD/or book and a bottle of alcohol - What knife, song/book and alcohol would you pick? (if you choose CD - you would have a means to play it - I-pod or whatever)
I would want my Falkniven A-1 (Noss said it was good ) only because I don't own a bussekin knife yet. A bottle of Crown Royal. Music or book is tough...I'd probably want to have Def Leppard Pyromania CD - I know its strange but I like them and they are not too heavy or too light. I thought about classical or country or metal but I think I would tire of it too quick.
 Next...

If you don't sharpen your axe from time to time, you will soon be chopping with a hammer.

Knife, hum, fiskers camp axe - can be used as a skinner, a hammer, a chopper or maybe a mistress or battle rat or dogfather, they can do most of what an axe can but would also make good paddles (might need it coated...).
cd - The NIV Bible on cd or maybe Boat making for dummies.
I dont drink so someone else can pick my alcohol.

Haha! Boat making for Dummies- that's a good one. I wasn't thinking like that - I suppose an island survival guide might be nice to have also for the book choice.
NP Toast- if you don't drink alcohol pick a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.

 NMSFNO
 Bob Marley - Legend
Southern Comfort. although I'm tempted to say grain, b/c you could drink it, use it as an accelerant, and a disinfectant.

hmm..
My NMSFNO, a bottle of JWB (or a case of Delirium Tremens; can't decide), and it's way too hard for me to pick an album, so the book would be 1984.

Enjoy every sandwich.

My SOD I'm with Toast, "Ultrasimple Boat Building". And since I don't drink, denatured alcohol for a homemade stove.

Knife - cold steel ltc kukri. Cheap and effective chopper and slasher. Let me get a few more bussekin knives in my collection and that will probably change.
Book - a blank notebook, so I could keep pretending I'm a scientist.
Alky - everclear. Could mix it with some coconut or fruit juice from the island for drinking, and could use it to build a stove for cooking. I use around 8 oz of alky a week for my stove while backpacking, so I figure a bottle ought to last me a month if I don't do much drinking. So it would last at least a week.

Nice. Interesting choices so far.
P-Easy- 1984 was a great book- just a little too dark for me to want while stranded on an island - but good choice. Now, Catcher in the Rye - I could pick that one- its just too short a book.
