I love my 110. would like to get one of these. but the costs add up pretty quickly. have to wait until I'm done with my S5 purchases.

Never been that much of a fan of buck knives. My dad had them when I was growing up and they always felt heavy and the locking mechanism wasn't that great. I'd much prefer a utilitarian folder with some more modern, lightweight materials than a big clunky buck.

for normal carry etc issues, buck isn't my fav either. My emerson goes where I go. But if I was going to be stuck somewhere with only a folder and my life was on the line, I would believe in the Buck.

I have a 110 or 112 (whichever the bigger is)
and have had it for years. I had the smaller one
while I was in the Navy. Was razor sharp and served me
so well for all the years I had it.
Somewhere it disappeared.
Anyway,they were/are good knives.
I think a little on the hernia side of heavy.
Thanks for the link!

Not so sure about now, but back in '81-'82 when I was stationed at Shemya AFB in the aleution islands a friend worked loading/unloading aircraft and he used the larger buck 112 (?). Cut steel straps and everythng. I had to sharpen it for him every week. and it never did chip out, just got dull
