WHat do you mean? the coating will assist it in NOT staining but its not rust proof if thats what you are getting at

and oh yea, its actually going to be a RUST MAGNENT bc its made of SR101~ the coating might helping protect is a bit but the edge of the blade will rust fast if you leave it wet... and when the coating goes, all im going to say is .... KEEP THE KNIFE DRY!

Just make sure you wipe it down after using it in wet conditions and wipe some oil on it wherever there is metal exposed.

Yeah I dont get this insane fear of rust. I've used tons of supposedly rust-prone steels doing things like canoe trips and never had a problem. Dry your blade off when you're done using it, keep it oiled , and you'll be fine

Give a E1-E3.__ 3 Knives and lock him in a room for 1 hr. and then come back after that HR is up, and 1 Knife will be broken 1 will be lost and the other would have been stolen. --it is an old joke among Marines and Squids--.

Nothing is Marine proof. Some things are Marine resistant.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Recon, your exaggerating to much. I'm trying to find this pic of a rat cutlery knife that's been used hard everyday in the wet jungle. Sure, they are rust prone then other Busse steel, but it's not as bad as you make it sound. I've left my 1095 steel knife wet in it's sheat for weeks. Besides some surface rust that comes right off, the knife is not affected.
