Dan,

Can you tell us if the nylon Scrapper 6 sheaths will fit a Scrapper 5 - my guess is yes, but I'd like to know for sure before I order?

What about the Kydex?
Will a Scrapper 5 fit nicely in one of the "First Position" Scrapper 6 Kydex sheaths listed for sale on the SYD store?

I'm less happy to guess about the Kydex because of the blade thickness difference and the "thumb rest" on the top of the 5, just in front of the handle.

Are there Scrapper 5 specific Kydex sheaths on the way?

I doubt a S5 will fit an S6 sheath because they have different handles....

Better to get them specifically made for the S5 IMO...plus the blade thickness is different and the S5 will "rattle"....even if it fits on the handle fitting...

When they come out sheath makers will start to stock sheaths for them...it won't be long!

I'm thinking of trying my hand at sheath-making, since I'll have so many that need sheaths. I've never worked with kydex, but I've done some plastic molding in the past, and I'm fairly handy with tools, so it shouldn't be TOO hard. I doubt it will look quite as nice as some of the pros around here, but I could make something functional.

The Scrapper 6 sheath will fit the S6, YG, YH, SOD, CT, M6, and a few others. I'm sure it could carry the S5, but it is more sheath than you need. I'm sure Rainwalker and others will be making kydex for it as soon as they get a S5.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

With as much interest as they have shown in the S5, I'm sure that sheath makers Rainwalker and David Brown will be providing sheaths to fellow sheath-hungry Dogs!

I know a Camp Tramp and SOD won't fit even though they look like it, a buddy and I tried it.

I don't think I own any fixed blades without a sheath. I carry and use every single one of them. (Or at least, used to carry them, until I found something newe!)
