Will there be a sheath offered by Scrap Yard directly or do I have to go elsewhere? I'm holding off on my order wondering if I can wait and get the sheath at the same time.

I'm tempted by the types of sheaths they offer from the Yard - cheap, no-frills designs appeal to me since I've got a couple to buy. Still mulling over the decision whether to try to make one or not.

Well, why not try and make one.
Best to make an attempt with Kydex
on a painted blade.
In case you make it too tight,it wont scratch up
the satin finish on an LE or something.

I am about 1/2 way through a leather sheath for my Mud Puppy. Making it has led me to order several now from Rainwalker. They are a lot of work.

Besides, how will I ever make JYD if I am making sheaths.

Yeah, leather is a ton of work... buy Kydex doesn't seem as bad, if you aren't so worried about fit and finish.

Kydex is easier, but to get it where I would really want it, it is just cheaper to buy it from someone that has the tools and skill...

I have to agree with this. I wouldn't mind doing it myself, but for my limited needs I can't really justify the expense of the learning curve to do it right.
