Went on a Jeep run with my dad down the Hassayampa river about 45 minutes from my house. There are some trails along the side of the river in parts, but for the most part, you drive over rocks, lots and lots of rocks. We did need the lockers in one spot about 20 yards ahead of where the picture was taken from inside the cab. My oldest son had a flashback of the last time I sunk my Jeep in this river. Here are a couple pics.

Very cool. I remember goin muddin' in old beaters when we were kids - fun times. Don't do much of that now that I live in Atlanta suburbia

Nice shots Ron, glad you didn't get drowned out again!

Peace.

Wow! That looks like a blast. How often do you get stuck? And when you do, do you have a winch on the front of your Jeep?

Most of the time we just get pulled out by a friends Jeep. Winches work well in certains areas and in certain situations. Seeing a winch cable snap and go flying through the air reminds you just how dangerous they can be if you don't take proper precautions.

When I got my Jeep stuck deep in a river several months ago (see pic below) it took a Bronco and a Jeep both with V8's to pull me out. My dad tried to pull me out, but it was muddy and his inline 6 with very little traction was not enough. This stunt below cost me about $1700 (tranny rebuild) and some goodwill with my wife. She has not been a trip with us since.

Oh yeah, especially when I had to toss my 4 yeard old to the side of the river. He was steering and sitting on my lap. I then had to tell my wife to get out. She said, what here, now? The look on her face, man I wish I had that in a picture.

Snapping cables can be some dangerous stuff, that's for sure. Be careful when using a winch!

Glad your Jeep stayed above the water this time, Jeeps. Looks like some 4 wheel fun to me. No rocks here, just sugar sand and mud.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If you had snapped a pic of that it would have made a great pic to put up around the house. Everyone would ask what the heck was going on there???
