Couple of quick questions......
What do the Mudder handles feel like in hand?
Are they just like the smooth resprine c handles but with ridges?
How are they when wet?

thanks in advance

I can't speak to the wetness factor, but for me they feel great. I have big hands and they fit very comfortably. They feel more "molded" in my hand then the standard res c grips.

I have medium size hands and they feels better than standard grips to me. Better in that my hand seems to wrap around the grip better. Mudders feel more natural in my hand. I have not noticed any difference when my hand is wet (at least from sweat). I like the textured feel and would buy more mudders if I could.

Mudders have to be THE most comfortable grip/handle I have found. As for retention , mudders do hold better under most conditions , water sweat , mud...resparine in slick if you have gun oil, motor or cooking oil on these grips. I do love micarta , but mudders is the winner over all.

Mudders are one of my most favorite handles. I can not wait to try them on the new S5!

In my limited experience, I prefer the "old" res-c handles to the mudders. The rubber on the HR is tackier than that of the rubber on my S4 (both wet and dry). However, the added ribbing and the palm swells of the mudder make up for this issue (as far as slipping and losing the blade would be concerned) and I am confident using either one in any condition. However, if they could somehow combine the best of both worlds and make a handle that had the tacky res-c of the HR and the palm swells (can do w/o the ribbing as I thought such is the reason for lack of tackiness) of the mudder...that would be perfection in my opinion!

But again, either way, with res-c you will have a GREAT handle. Way better than any other rubber handle I have used and 1,000 times better than any slab handle (micarta, G-10, whatever) in my experience/opinion.

I don't own anything with the mudders either but I ordered the S5 so I'll see how I like it. I would guess mudders are the same as stippled grips on a pistol. I look forward to getting them.

I think the mudder grips are the best things since sliced bread. If SY knives were only typical, I would buy them just for the grips. But combine the fact that the knives are of superior quality and come with superior grips, and you get part of the reason why SY does so well. Superior price to performance ratio <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
