Wecome to the yard, Maiden TX. Your credit card won't be charged until they ship. Sometimes we get impatient, but it's not like we can go down to the hardware store and buy a Scrapper!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I'm new here and just ordered my first SY knife the S5. How long does it take to get your knife. Thanks

Welcome to the yard, and congrats on purchasing your first Scrap Yard Knife. As said by others, the wait will be in the area of 3 months before you'll see it, but your CC won't see a charge until they're ready to ship it to your door.

Sure, it can be a long wait, but these knives are well worth the wait.

The S5 looks like an amazing knife, and I've ordered 4 of the CGs alone, based solely upon my appreciation for Dans' previous models. Trust me when I say these are knives designed to give you a lifetime worth of enjoyment. You've made a wise investment in these knives, whether it be for an everyday carry, huning, camping, hiking, survival tool.... whatever. You won't regret the cost or the wait once you have it in your hand.

I thought it would be forever when I ordered my first, the SOD. I got so antsy that I bought a DMDC on Blade Forums. It got here before the SOD did!

But, eventually the SOD came, and I was pumped!

Then I thought, "Man, it's going to be forever until I get pants for this thing."

Not long later, my Rainwalker kydex arrived, and now I have both my SYKCOs with pants to boot!

So even though I'm with all of you in my excitement about the S5... it'll get here soon enough.

...

Which isn't soon enough!

Maiden TX - Howdy and welcome to the ScrapYard! And congrats on scoring an S5 - destined to be a classic! Just out of curiousity, are you male or female (please don't answer yes )? We have a couple of women on the forum, but they don't post much. Either way, jump in anytime and enjoy the ScrapYard!!! Tom
