You missed the pre-order for the M9LE, but they should be available for regular order as soon as they fill all the pre-orders. Like mine. So keep a good eye, you should be able to pick one up soon from the company.

edited to add: at least that was my understanding...

I'm not sure why the http://swampratknives.com/ is basically abandoned; it has been since I started collecting Bussekin knives a couple years ago. The "Rat Chat" link is the only reason that I can envision anyone visiting that Web site, and the Rat board is nowhere near as active as Scrap Yard's.

Eric Isaacson operates the Swamp Rat store from http://www.shop.ratknives.com/main.sc -- It absolutely amazes me that they don't link to that site from swampratknives.com. It's like trying to get into Hernando's Hideaway ("knock three times and whisper low. That you and I were sent by Joe. Then strike a match and you will know. That you're in Hernando's Hideaway...OLÉ") -- if you don't know the secret, you simply can't buy from Swamp Rat. I generally follow Swamp Rat from their BladeForums sub-forum.

I have heard the site was hacked and they don't have the password to make changes, but that is just a rumor. Kinda makes sense though.

I don't know...wouldn't they be able to contact the vendor and get the page reset or something?

I have always wondered why they two weren't linked both directions.

It does seem strange with all the SY and Busse releases... Although the M9LE is a nice knife.
