Nothing really odd about mine.

Had to put a Scrapyard theme on it, so it became Dawn of the Dawg. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
Too long though, so I just used the acronym. DotD <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

After it was chosen, I realized that it had other connotations.
I work in the computer industry for one of those "Dot Com" companies.
Seeing as my first name is Dave, instead of Dot Com, I could say Dot Dave. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Given a choice between the two, I would choose the former. Much better
to think of zombies than computers. Especially, as I could use a DF on
a zombie without too much issue, but if I DF'd my computer...I would miss

For car/bike forums, I use MRpilot, because I drive a MR2. When I started joining knife forums, MRpilot didn't make sense, so I came up with Mr. Pink from the movie Reservoir Dogs, thus MRpink.

My name comes from:
sumo--name given to me by friends I wrestled with when I was younger
j==Jeff
275== was the weight limit when I wrestled in hs and college.

I had to come up with a name for college login so that has been with me for over 15 years now.

I'll try to keep this short...

I'm a filmmaker by profession, and I was interested (for a while) in a movement called "Dogme 95". However, it bothered me that this film making idea which was founded on freedom of expression had so many rules associated with it. So I, and several others, figured there needed to be a new way of thinking about "freedom of expression" that would truly be free.

A new dogma.

So, "New Dogma" became my production company's name... which I no longer use. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

However, it is my email and I use it for screen names from time to time and since this is "The Yard" I thought "newDOGma" was appropriate. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

But everyone can call me "Joe", that was my grandfather's name, and I'm proud to have it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
