last night, before going to sleep, i was admiring the M9LE and i can't believe i almost passed on this knife. it is such a fine piece of steel and honestly, out of the box, i'm far more impressed by this knife than i was by the sage FFBM.

You're kidding?! I don't have the M9 or FFBM yet....but that sage ffbm really looks great. Please speak more of why you like the m9 more.
Thanks.

I am getting such a bad case of remorse for cancelling my M9LE order. It is beautiful. Maybe I will score one yet.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

the sage FFBM had this novelty feel to it, which is kinda why people buy it, but when i pulled it out of the box it didn't feel or look as great to me as my corrugated muddy snakeskin FBM. the FFBM also had no point, as in blunt tip not purpose. later FFBM's would have penetrator tip, and i had one of those too in green, but that didn't blow me away either. i lucked out with a minor defect so back it went to busse combat.

i love the M9's handle. that plain black G-10 is so classy, ret resilient. no breaker pommel or pinky talon, just clean. the snakeskin micarta ages pretty quickly, but this black g-10 is gonna retain its youth.

M9 also comes with a needle point and one of the best edges i've ever seen on any Busse or Scrapper. the guy at the shop might have been having a good day when he did mine, but it's head and shoulders above the FFFBM.

I have more to say about the knife, but you guys will have to wait until the battle rat and mastiff arrive, then i will post a big picture review. I also want to hold back my opinions since i'm still on the honeymoon, but if i'm not just excited by a new knife then this is the first blade to put my CGFBM in danger. i wish i had two.

I've always wanted a ffbm or nmfbm but for now I'll have to save my pennies for HOGZILLA! Or better yet, a Scrapyard DOGZILLA

I didn't even place a pre-order, but I should be getting mine soon. Email Eric and ask to be put back on the list - I believe quite a few folks canceled or just flat-out didn't pay for their knives, so you may be able to score one direct from the source yet.

I just sent Eric an email. Maybe this will work.

Yeah, CLint! I'm glad your stuff moved!

Get the FFBM dude. Well, any BM. I wish I had stayed in the M9LE game, but I mean.... the FFBM. Ah, just a big honkin' piece-o-INFI.

Enjoy every sandwich.
