Yeah Bruce...Part of this might be my newness to these particular steels. I believe I am correct on my understanding of the definitions...but maybe not correct in my understanding of the 2 steels in question...although it looks like EMF and KnifeGuy see it like I do. Oh well! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Good chat though. It was/is fun to have these types of conversations and it really helps me get closer to that JYD mark. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

For what I would be using the knife for, I would say 101 is better for my uses. I don't plan to hack through concrete or cut metal pipes. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I've drawn my conclusions about sr77 from my personal experience...
and bruce, If I heard jerry say it, more clearly so that I understood which is stronger/tougher I MIGHT believe him.
but I feel like you're confusing the definition.
