Great review, you are making me want one, or maybe a battlerat. The reprofiling seems overly aggressive from the pic but I guess if the edge has held up then the looks are deceiving.

It looks like that because when using sandpaper to convex the edge it rubbed off some coating above the bevel too. I took videos of me chopping through a six inch log, I'll upload them some this weekend most likely.

Welcome to the Yard and thanks for the great review. The DF, what I need!

I did some work with mine the other day on some storm damage limbs that were dragged out of a pond. It's a marvelous tool when you need something whacked, hacked, and generally obliterated. I have to say, though, that while resiprene feels great in the hand and gives a great grip when it's dry, it doesn't cope well with pond slime. I didn't lose it, but it felt shaky on the upswing. Time to braid a retaining strap?

Sweet pics man. I do not hate Tanker Dogfathers. Any Dogfathers for that matter!

Since I've become acquainted with Bussekin knives I've scored what I call my 'holy grail' of fixed blades...the Dog Father in SR77 and the Ratmandu in SR-101. Those two, with my large Sebenza in S30V stainless, are my Trilogy.
