Don't count on it. They see so much suffering, they are immune to it. I married two of them (not at the same time). They were cold and indifferent to my injuries and ailments! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Most likely a doc wouldn't do much. You will absorb most of the blood under there eventually.

If it hurts too badly you could try to relieve the pressure. I would suggest what someone else did already. You could use the non-cutting end of a very fine drill bit heated with a torch to burn a nice aseptic hole through the nail. Fine wire or a needle would work as well to melt through the nail without exerting pressure on the nail which will hurt.
