I also always thought it meant Swamp Rat. I suppose it could also mean Start Running..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I always assumed it stood for Swamp Rat also. Maybe we need SY-77 and SR-101? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

When I commit project changes to our software repository, I tag them with a version number, usually like r-1.1.8; in that case "r" stands for revision. Perhaps as Jerry experimented with different steels and heat treatments, he labeled samples with "SR" as Steel Rev., Refactored, or Reformulated or something like that.
