The real qeustion is "who's really missing out?"
the guys that can't make it or the company that hides the offerings to the ones that could buy multiples? So you are thinking I should provide a hint or two? That might be a possibility...its the timing of the special project and if it happens in time I'll let you know if you Dan

Jeff, I'm really sorry that you can't make it this year. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> The tough part about Atalnta is time and distance Tom. You figure by the time I fly round trip from Oregon for just flight is about 1 K unless I do layovers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />. Then you have about 5 nights of motels at about $150.00 per night and then add food and you are well north of 2 K. Say about $2500.00. This is BEFORE we buy steel <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />.So if you buy only 6 knives at say an average of 300 per knife <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />- a guy is around 4K. This isn't too bad and i am also figuring on taking my spouse which some might not be doing. 4 K is a fair price but one needs to spend more than a few days in the area <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. I think your idea about Sue & I coming next year and making a long trip out of it ( say 15 days) before and after the show is just the ticket <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />. This allows to see the area- knife show- let the wife shop and then I can buy more knives and all is good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />!!For us west side guys- if we plan- make it at least a 2 week deal- it is well worth it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.Maybe we can get a group of folks and plan a bunch of activities for next year and maybe even get some group rates <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. There are some neat places around Atlanta and might be a great time for all. But- we NEED pictures from ya'll this year <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />-Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />Maybe get Ron/Seth/Joe and some of the other NW guys and even Cally and Utah guys( Paul) to join in. We could have one hell of a get together BEFORE the show even starts. I have been thinking I want a slightly longer blade (I also ordered a RMD and a swamp warden, as well as a Dumpster mutt LE)and I really wanted a THICK blade. I went and reread all the specs and this knife is awesome!
