hey guys what do you think about a scrap yard machette made out of sr101 with a 15" blade. I would love to have something like this for camping and just being out in the bush to get through a thicket or something. what do you guys think.

Machetes need to be tough. I think the SR77 would work as well. Thing is, you can buy a very good Tramontina machete for $6.00. Hard to beat that in performance for the price. Fanatics like me would buy a high end machete, but I don't know about most folks. But a golok with Res C handle would really rock.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I'd love a res-c golok - I doubt it would knock the kukri off the top of my big knife pile, but goloks are very effective in their own way. I would buy that in a heartbeat!

nice i was just up on the mountain last weekend and i have a real cheep machete and was thinking that it would be awsome to have one made out of either the sr101 or the sr77 just because of the sheer strength of these blades

A res-c golok type thing would be cool. Another company does a high end machete, but I have never used that particular model. Trams and Ontario's seem to work pretty well at their price point though.

As would a kukri!

And it would be affordable, too! Dan needs to make his Khuk bigger than Jerry's. With a traditional Khuk handle shape of Res C, of course. I'll take the LE model. Bring it!

I think it would be an interesting idea as long as it didn't delay a large knife production. It would probably be one heavy beast, which might deter a lot of people.
