I want to gather a poll to see how many people, and how many DFs, people would purchase if we could convince Dan to do a special DF run for the forum. Maybe if he saw some compelling responses he would consider it? i would go for at least one if it was the dfcg i dont think i would go for anything but the combat grade

I think the nuclear meltdown treatment probably doesn't belong on scrap yard knives. It's improvement in performance is marginal, and it's probably not cheap in terms of time needed to apply the ball bearing finish to the edges of blades. Poor price to performance ratio on that one.
And I was mostly playing about a DF in INFI, it would be way too expensive for the yard. Still, I'd definitely like to see one in SR101.

Exactly was is nuclear meltdown? Thought is was rounded edges It is the rounded edges - specifically a sort of ball-bearing grind that puts a half-circle curved profile on the edges of the blade. Part of the reason scrap yard knives are so inexpensive compared to Busse and Swamp Rat knives is the simplicity of their manufacture. Grinds are usually full flat or saber, instead of convex, and there aren't a lot of extraneous "fit and finish" operations, which take more man-hours and cost more money. Nuclear meltdown would definitely be one of those extraneous operations, IMHO.

SR101, 0.33" thick, differentially tempered, with a full flat grind, in green blade and black Res-C. Yeah, I could go for one of that!

I would not be interested. Already have 2CG and 2LE. But, a SY "AK" like blade would interest me.

I wanted one for sooo long, but then came along the SOD and I've never been happier. All I want now is one of these. Wouldn't be interested in a re- release of the Dogfather, but a BIG +1 on that sword! Good job, Mr. Pink!

I would love the dogfather (or similarly handled 10" chopper) to be offered again. This is a blade I've been wanting to get my hands on really badly. I would have to get at least 1 maybe 2. SR-101 would be cool too, but I'm okay with SR-77. Bring it Dan
