I've been trying to do some research, but what the heck is it?

I've seen it, but what's the purpose?

For me it was a choppingbrake so I grinded them off, or how you say it.

That's a good point.

I dig the design, but if it's less effective then I don't know if that's the direction I want to go.

So it made it harder to chop with?

It's called CBT . . . Corrugated Bevel Technology. It's supposed to strengthen the blade and reduce overall weight while reducing the cutting friction along the entire height of the bevel. But to me, it's just an eyesore.

Amen! To me (theoretically speaking) the peaks just seem to be there to snag what you are chopping, impeding the effectiveness of your cuts. (But then I cancelled my FBM order so I haven't used one.)

Thank you for answering the CBT question. I knew nothing on the subject. With all the knowledgeable folks on this great forum, I learn something every day.

I honestly felt the same way at first, but I'm digging it now.

Can't decide.

Other than I know I want to get a FBM sometime, just have to decide which one of the many!

I prefer it without it, but it doesn't bother me either.

I had them taken off my AK where they were hardly noticeable anyways. I love them on my JackHammer and HellRazor though. The FBM I had also had them and I actually like the look now.
