The DMDC has a "dual cut" finish which basically looks like a bead blasted finish. Also, compared to the original DM, the DMDC has a full height flat grind, as opposed to a saber grind found on the original. The handle on the DMDC is also slightly thicker than the original DM which has a small Busse Basic handle. Hope this helps!

the DMDC is the Dumpster Mutt double cut

CGDM Combat grade dumpster mutt has crinkle coat and a dift grind i believe

Beyond the differences in blade finish (CG/Urban - coated, LE - Satin, DC - double cut/bead blasted) the original CGDM used the Busse basic handle, most of the later DMs (except the DMLE) used the tiny bit longer small Res-C handle.

In addition, the original DM is saber ground with a blade thickness of approximately .285 while the other DMs were flat ground with a blade thickness of approximately .250.

I've ignored some of the limited special releases but hopefully I got most of it right.

The distinctions for each DM model is contained within its description on the scrapyardknives.com web site under the knives tab. I believe that the descriptions are almost 100% accurate (there was a thread a week or so ago where one error was found, as I recall).
