I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about the Outcast, Vic. D2 steel is not noted as being the best for choppers. Apparently it tends to be brittle and chips easily. bld, I really like all these choppers. The big Kershaw has been great for saplings and roots. I have not damaged its edge so far. I have not batoned with it or really tested it as hard as I have the DF. My usual backyard blade is either the cheap Colt or the Ontario Bowie. They are cheap and they work. I have some "prettier" choppers with micarta handles, but these are the ones I really use. The DF is the new yard King for EDC. Long live the King.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Horn Dog - that was an awesome test. I really like your British blade - most unique thing I've ever seen. I've gotta get out and Kill with my DF soon - its getting to the point where "I've been too busy" is no longer reasonable!!
Beautiful area that you live in as well. My wife was watching something on "Home & Garden" TV, and they were in GA, and I said "Those look just like Vic's trees!"

nice review. i am suprised by the colt. i own two pathfinders and i am dissapointed with them. is hard to find one of those goloks? I think Brigade Quartermasters still has the Goloks. They are just too ugly to be popular. Yeah, the Colt is surprisingly good. I just got it to fool around with in the yard. I can stick it real good. Got it for $29.95 on sale at SMKW. I reground the edge, and it just plain works. Since its stainless, I can leave it out in the yard (I am on a saltwater marsh). It out performs some of my expensive knives. Never tried a pathfinder.

Gotta put clothes back on the choppers now. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/RUBBERCHP011.jpg)

I wish there were more high end toys like this available in Canada. Getting stuff shipped here sucks cause you never know when it is going to arrive. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
