Good to see them both. Easier to make a choice.

Doesn't a chain saw take up less space?

Less space, but more weight.

Thanks for the review!

Very cool review Alfredo.
I've been thinking about getting one of those chainsaw saws for a long
time now. This review just shows me how good they are.

Cheers

My housemate and (now ex) girlfriend gave me one of those chain saws many tears ago, and they really work a treat.

A lot less work than chopping and not all that heavy and very compact. Not that that stops me from chopping, that often but I do use the saw on the 5-6" and larger logs, when I find them.
Mine came in a little round tobacco style tin which fits both the saw and the little hooks that the handles attach to. I keep it wrapped in an oily rag in the tin. You can easily slip the tin it in a pocket, at the bottom of a nalgene bottle pouch etc. Mine has the orange plastic handles, but some come with web straps.
I'm thinking next time I go out I'll probably just put some 4-5" paracord loops on the end and carve a couple of wood handles should I want a handle.

Highly recommended.
