My favorite knife for brush clearing and chopping is a Cold Steel LTC kukri - and that knife completely dominated in a recent chopoff I held.

Kukri's are da bomb, IMHO...

a good, large khukri can outchop just about any knife out there, as far as I know.

LOL, I'm a big collector of khukuri and one of the mods for a well known khukuri forum. In my opinion they are one of the best all around blade designs. I'd love to get my hands on the new Busse model, but it looks like I will have to wait a bit for that. I think they are anything but ugly btw.

I love the khukuri. I use them for all of my clearing and a lot of my chopping. IMHO they are hard to beat where overall utility is concerned.

Kukris are awesome choppers. Like any other big blade, they need a good edge. I convexed my HI Ang Khola and my Gurkha. Even did a little to the TTKZ. Yeah, you need a gurkha.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I have found that those that like khukuris love them. Then there are the those who do not care for them. I am sort of in the middle of the road for like and dislike. However, after handling the one Jerry designed I have to say it is growing on me. Pretty impressive

So how about an SR-77 version, maybe a bit thinner and saber ground to cut the manufacturing cost???????

I'd buy several of them!

Jerry's kukri is a heavy weight monster chopper. Pics in a few months.
