Which state will secede from the Union first ?



What state would you like to be in if it does ?

I hope it is California. We can't afford them any more. Just kidding. I think it is one of the most beautiful States in the union. People say California leads the rest of the nation. Looks like that is true. They are broke and soon the rest of us will be.

Hard to say. I don't see it happening any time soon. Every state's economy is way too wound up with the economies of all the other states. Any state that tried would probably collapse fairly quickly.

I just noticed the second question in the thread. I would want to be in Texas if it happened. They have a broad resource and industrial pool to be self-sufficient.

I just heard that they (locals) actually want to and are quite upset at some of the new local laws that in thier eyes take away from thier cultural heritage.

I say Texas, OK, and NM all at one time forming a little group. I kinda feel states have the right to leave. Texas is self sufficient for everything. Not many other states are.

The only problem we have is our Southern "neighbors" bad neighbors at best.

Not going to happen, but if it did then Texas would be the most likely to TRY. Remember a little thing called "the war between the states", or sometimes known as the "war of northern aggression", or best known as the "civil war"?
