lots smaller...not the chopper the CT is...
depending on your school of thought...some folks think the 7" range is the survival size, others the 5"...
very different and very great!!!!
+1
As RN said, the CT can chop and is a "Camp" knife and reasonably versatile and quite light for it's size and powerful for it's weight.
Whereas the RMD is NOT a chopper is 2" shorter and much more of a utility/task knife.
Both are EXCELLENT knives. But, they are VERY different in size and function.
There really are not a whole lot of knives that really compare to the RMD.
The S5 should (?????).
A somewhat reasonable arguement could be made that the BATAC compares, but I think the RMD is a much better/functional design, can do anything the BATAC can and weighs less than the BATAC. I don't have the exact weight of the BATAC though. I would guess around 11.5 - 12.0 ounces for the CG (????)
Camp Tramp............= 14.5 ounces; .236" thick; 7.325" blade; 12.5" oal
Ratmandu (G10).........= 11.0 ounces; .189" thick; 5.3125" blade; 10.5" oal
Ratmandu (micarta)....= 10.0 ounces; .189" thick; 5.3125" blade; 10.5" oal
DM..........................= 9.0 ounces; .268" thick; 5.25" blade; 9.75" oal
BATAC-CG
..= ?.??? ounces; .187 thick; 5.00 blade; 10.75 oal
BATAC-LE
= 16.3 ounces; .25 thick; 5.00 blade; 10.75 oal
Scrapper 6 LE...........= 12.7 ounces; .268" thick; 6.25" blade; 11.44" oal
SJTAC
.(stripped)
. = 13.0 ounces; .187 thick; 6.375 blade; 11.875 oal
Hell Razor
= 14.75 ounces; .1875 thick; 6.625 blade; 12.75 oal (est.)
Skinny ASH (ASH1)..= 15.25 ounces; .1875 thick; 6.4 blade; 12.0 oal
SARSquatch

Yard Guard..............= 16.0 ounces; .277" thick; 7.25" blade; 12.4" oal
Camp Tramp............= 14.5 ounces; .236" thick; 7.325" blade; 12.5" oal
Ratweiler (orig.)
. = 20.1 ounces; .25 thick; 7.5 blade; 13 oal
Chopweiler - Micarta = 19.1 ounces; .25 thick; 7.5625 blade; 13.1875 oal
Chopweiler G10
.. = 20.5 ounces; .25 thick; 7.5625 blade; 13.1875 oal
I don't even have a picture of the CT and RMD together. And being a bit lazy right now to go set up to snap a few pics, I just dug through and found close:
The Chopweiler and Ratweiler are similar in size to the CT. But, the Chopweiler and Ratweiler have just "slightly" longer handles and weigh more because of full tangs and micarta scales vs. the CT with smaller hidden tang and Res-C.
But, the Chopweiler and Ratweiler are close enough in "Size" that pictures of the Chopweiler and Ratweiler compared to the RMD should be sufficient to give you an idea.
