put my cheapo red dot on my 10/22 and been having some fun. i'm actually thinking about getting a charger pistol. i think it would be a real fun plinker.

I think these are keeping them at bay...I'm over run with them.

I like blue tail skinks. They're really pretty. We have a few of those around too. They hide under our porch steps.

I'll give you the same advice given to me (which I didn't follow, but repented of later!)...

Shotgun first. I suggest the Remington 870 Express Magnum. Pump, 12 gauge.

You'll love it, and should be able to find one for about $300.

My handgun is a H&K USP 9mm full size.

I could have gotten a Glock and saved some dough, but I got mine new for $600 so I can't complain. I love that gun, it's wicked.

The Ruger 10/22 is also a great gun for cheap practice. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

It's a Model 28.

I picked it up waaaaay cheap on Gunbroker. The guy selling it really understated it's condition. I got it for $275 shipped in October.

I haven't come across an "affordable" M-27 Smith yet...
