There arose today a need to cut something on a work site. I offered my EDC Fallkniven, but the person said they didn't want to use it because it was "Daniel Boone Sh*" and they'd take their arm off with it. Wonder what would they would say if I offered the DFCG.

Some people are just afraid of sharp knives because they don't know how to safely use them. My daughter let a young man borrow her Swiss Army knife at work and when he cut himself he screamed at her saying, "You didn't tell me it was sharp!" Bonnie cooly let him know that all her knives were sharp.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It drives me NUTS to see people cutting vegetables by putting the knife on one side, their thumb on the other side, and squeezing. If someone tried to do that with one of my knives, they'd lose a finger - and I suck at sharpening.

Most people will say they don't like their kitchen knives sharp in fear of cutting themself . What thety are really saying is they have crap knives and don't know HOW to sharpen them and they certainly are not going to put any efort into it or ANYTHING else . i just smile

Morning to the Yard. A dull knife is dangerous to me. I don't like dull knifes. I know I am not the only one here that thinks that way!

I tested the reg doing the things I always do with knives - chopping up wood, making fires, digging holes in logs. Pretty standard stuff. I also did a lot of batoning, and specifically used it in ways that would stress the res-c handle - lots of bashing on that handle with a baton and torquing the crap out of the blade in big knotty nasty logs.

I thought about hacking up an old microwave with it, but my fiance threw it out before I got a chance

I love the balance and feel of the Regulator, but I picked one up for another dog who could not make Blade. All on the up and up, test team agreement and all went with it, cleared through Dan. I guess the biggest question most of us have is how well it chops compared to the SOD. Once you testers are done, I'll be getting the production model. Just from having it and holding it a few days, I can tell you that I really like it. I should have gotten one for myself, but I wanted a KZ and a Waki, so something had to give. All I can say is give it hell and let Dan know what you like or dislike about it.
